Apigee UI no longer loads in GCP

Hi, I provisioned a pay-as-you-go Apigee organization but was running into some network issues so I deleted the organization with command “gcloud alpha apigee organizations delete org_name”. However, now the Apigee UI in GCP no longer loads. Seems like a network call to “apigee.mtls.clients6.com/v1/organizations/orgname?key=” is failing with error "Permission denied on resource “organizations/org_name” (or it may not exist).

Is there anything else I need to delete for GCP to recognize that the Apigee org has been deleted?

when you delete your Apigee organization, Google retains the org data for some pre-defined retention period.

https://cloud.google.com/apigee/docs/reference/apis/apigee/rest/v1/organizations/delete#deletionretention

The retention is available in 2 flavors: 7 days or 24 hours.

And, while the final delete is pending, you will be unable to create a new organization at all in the same project.

Solutions:

  • wait for final delete
  • use a different project
