Apigee X: New releases
Policies for LLM/GenAI workloads are now Generally Available (GA): We’ve made four new Apigee policies for LLM/GenAI workloads GA, including:
The semantic caching policies enable intelligent response reuse based on semantic similarity, which can minimize redundant backend API calls, reduce latency, and lower operational costs. The Model Armor policies protect your AI applications by sanitizing user prompts and responses to and from large language models (LLMs). This helps mitigate risks like prompt injection and jailbreak attacks.
Support for Server-Sent Events (SSE) and EventFlows: The Apigee Extension Processor now supports Server-Sent Events (SSE), enabling continuous response streaming from SSE endpoints to clients in real time. This also includes support for EventFlows, a traffic extension that uses Cloud Load Balancing to send callouts to the Apigee Extension Processor.
Apigee API hub: New releases
Enable and disable semantic search: You can now enable and disable semantic search directly from the API hub > Settings > Actions page in the Google Cloud console.
Apigee Integrated Portal: Updates
Workforce Identity Federation support: Workforce Identity Federation users can now manage Integrated Portals directly through the Apigee Cloud console.
Apigee UI: Updates
Icon to mark unused policies: The proxy and sharedflow editor now displays an icon next to any policy that is not attached to a flow, making it easier to identify and manage unused policies.
