Apigee 9 node in Azure- Private cloud to send analytics to Apigee managed Cloud?

One of our clients is interested in having the core Apigee runtime such as RMP, Cassandra set up int their “privately managed” Azure set up with a specific requirement : The analytics should be redirected to Apigee managed Public Cloud.

I recollect the Apigee Edge Microgateway installation is based on the above design. However, in a Private Cloud setup, is it possible to decouple the analytics component and have it managed by Apigee in Public Cloud? Is it recommended?

No - what you describe is not possible.

What you are talking about is what we might call a “hybrid” deployment. The customer can install a gateway wherever she wants, and then manage those disparate gateways from the Apigee Edge SaaS cloud.

We’re looking into that; we think a number of customers would be interested.

We have nothing to announce at this time.

You CAN accomplish this pattern today with Microgateway. But not with the enterprise gateway.
