Currently, AppSheet restricts certain action types (specifically Row-level actions, even when grouped) from displaying as a primary action button on a Dashboard View. This prevents users from easily accessing important, aggregated actions (like “Group Download CSV”) right from the main dashboard surface where they expect to see them.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce a new configuration option within the Dashboard View settings called “Prominent View Actions” or “Forced Primary Actions.”
This setting would allow the app creator to explicitly select up to three specific actions (regardless of their standard type—Row, Detail, or Grouped) to be displayed as large, primary buttons at the top of the Dashboard View.
Additionally, this feature would give developers the flexibility needed to create powerful, streamlined user experiences that currently hit a hard wall due to action type classification within dashboard layouts.
Hello @Shourya_Tomar - i believe my scenarios is completely different compared to these two posts. Hence, i am trying to determine why a Grouped Action is prevented from displaying as a primary action button on a Dashboard View?
