Adding data in the body of an email

When I try and send data in the body of an email it only displays the data for one data element when I try and add more than one data element it shows up as text labels, no data shows up in the email. Can someone help?

I can’t make sense of your concern. Can you provide a screenshot showing the problem?

Hi Steve, thank you for your prompt response I appreciate that. When I configure the email I would like to include data in the body of the email.

But it is only display the labels and not the data.

This is what appears in the email, just labels no data.

Put << before each [, and >> after each ]

As @June_Corpuz notes, your column references should be enclosed in << and >>. The Body is treated as a template.

Thank you both. I tried as suggested and get an error.

Oh! Oops! I though this was a workflow, but it’s not, it’s an email action! Yeah, that’s not a template.

You’ll need to enter a valid expression that produces the complete message body as a single value.

Ok thank you, I will look to see if I can do that. Would workflow be a better approach to sending this type of email?

In general, workflow is better for longer, more-detailed messages. The downside of workflow is the user cannot edit the message before it’s sent.
