Uhm my action name is being cut off after the 9th letter? Bug?
Could be. The button space is only so wide, and it may not what to wrap mid-word. Probably not a character limit, but rather a rendered-width limit.
Ya, if you look closely there’s a couple pixels to the right of the D that could be the G in ACKNOWLEDGE. Seems very odd to not wrap it.

Force a Newline in the Action name:

Under UX → OPTIONS:
Change the Font to “Roboto Condensed”

Solution is use less than 9 letter words for action names in my case lol

This is for sure the best “workaround”
“text button” could solve as well.
On the upcoming major updates to UIs, I wish to see those new features are in place as well.

Text button is quite common in web app, unfortunately we are missing in Appsheet “for now” .
