Hello I have an action set to inline, attached to a field named Selection and based on table Quotes. I have a dashboard view based on a slice that references data from the Quote table so I’m expecting to see my action icon here. The slice and table view have the Selection field selected. The slice has parameters set in the Row Filter where it pulls data from another form on the same dashboard.
My action icon is not appearing. Is this because the associated table view has underlying parameters in the slice?
Is the Selection column showing? If so then do you see anything in that column at all?

Yes, its showing but no icon.
Ok, but I guess I wanted to know if anything is showing in that column. Inline actions will REPLACE the normal data in that column. So if you see the Selection column and there is data listed, whether it be a text or Color, etc, this means the Inline Action is not getting applied to the column for some reason.
If the column is blank, then I would ask if it normally shows anything and if so what is the data type and the normal data shown?

Yes, I chose the “Selection” field as it doesn’t get any use in this database and can be replaced with the icon without issue. It’s a text field and doesn’t currently have any data in it.

There’s not much needed to get the Action to show so here’s a checklist. I’ll mark the ones you’ve already mentioned as “check”
Action set to Inline - check
Action attached to column - check
Behavior criteria is blank or true - ???
Column is in view - check
Column is set to Show - ???
No Show criteria set for column - ???
Check view outside of Dashboard - ???
Try adjust column width in table - ???
I have a table with an action column. I added it to my Dashboard and I can see the action (the trash can on far left) fine. So I don’t think it being part of a Dashboard is an issue. (There have been a few quirks reported against Dashboards.)
Reviewed the list above and all checks out. Accessed the form out of the dashboard - still no show. The icon was originally there. Could this have something to do with the Row Filter in the slice? Would it restrict the action somehow?
A couple more I didn’t think of.
