Access Denied - Appsheet Prototype

Hello, I’m having a problem with my app.

The version I was using started acting up, and I couldn’t apply any changes; it kept reverting to an older version.

So, I created a copy of the app and deleted the old one. However, now I can’t share the app with my other email addresses.

They show up as shared, but I can’t access them.

The app is for personal use, and it was working fine in the old version. I was able to share it with my other email addresses and my wife.

However, ever since the problems with the previous version started, I can no longer share it.

Unfortunately, my app is a prototype, and I can’t get in touch with support.

Dude, why did you do that! The error isn’t always on our end. Check out other topics here in the community. AppSheet has been having issues since yesterday at 5:30 PM UTC-3 (Brasília time). Before doing things like this—just going ahead and deleting everything—check if there are any posts about errors on the Google/AppSheet server side. For now, all we can do is wait for the Google team to fix the bug

Your current app config is showing the auth provider as Google. This means it allows ONLY Gmail accounts to access the app. If your other email address are NOT Gmail accounts, they will be denied.

If this is the problem then you only need to change the app config to “Any Provider”. See image.

I don’t think his issue is related to accounts, although, yes, if it isn’t configured to allow non-Gmail accounts, it won’t allow them. But I believe the problem is what I mentioned. Notice that in the other thread there is a reply from the Google team stating that the issue will be resolved within 24 hours.

Sorry for starting another thread; it’s not my native language, and this is my first time visiting the forum.

The issue really does seem to be a bug, and the provider is right—it is indeed Google.

@Roniel_Marques @devapptec

It could be regional area issue. I have been using AppSheet all weekend on the east coast of the USA with no issues.

Have either of you tried changing the auth provider to “Any Provider” or one of the other providers to see if that works around the issue?

Hello @Roniel_Marques,

Thanks for reporting this and welcome to the AppSheet Community!

As our friends correctly state, there is an existing bug that engineering team is already working and it is most likely cause this problem.

However, I totally support that you post any concern you have, especially if you are not certain your problem is related to the other issue.

I will be posting updates on the post below.

Por cierto, yo hablo español o usar Google Translator así que también puedo apoyarte en otros idiomas si hace falta

If related as @Jose_Arteaga speculates, it should be resolved:

@Roniel_Marques, has this been resolved?
