A GKE autopilot & quota bug

I want report a bug

  1. I can’t deploy more pods since GKE can’t scale out nodes
  2. GKE can’t scale out nodes since there is out of disk quota.
  3. I can’t increase quota since there is no bill history of disk

GCP keeps reject me from increasing disk quota since there is no billing data

However, disk of GKE autopilot dose not any $ on bill

GCP support ask me to find sales, But the sales ask me to find support. It is endless ping-pong game …

Hi, @arenaaa .

Autopilot disks may be free or bundled based on the usage tier, which is why they might not show up as billable usage. Are you using a GCP project under the free trial? Also, have you already followed the steps below?

  • Go to IAM & Admin > Quotas.

  • Filter by Persistent disk regional (or zonal depending on your region).

  • Select the quota to increase (e.g., “Standard persistent disk (GB)”).

  • Click Edit Quotas > fill the form > include your billing account ID and justify the need.

If this still isn’t working, please try contacting to the Google Cloud Support team .

Regards,
Mokit
