Then, I usually got two options: “Chat(preferred)” and “Email”.
Now it’s redirecting to this:
I can’t imagine this is it related to “Starting June 1, 2026, AppSheet support for Workspace Admin creators will transition to Google Workspace support to provide a more tailored experience.”
The devil in details…This restricts the non-admin app creators experience, which need to report troubles or bugs in the app.
Anyone having this too? Or am I having it wrong in my way of reaching support?
Hey Aurelien, are you a Google Workspace admin? If so, we route AppSheet creators to Workspace Support to provide a more tailored and streamlined experience. Workspace Support, just like AppSheet Support, can also support AppSheet questions and raise issues to AppSheet product team.
For the AI chatbot response, I will share the feedback with my Workspace Support colleagues to make sure it will be reflected correctly.
Update: Regarding the feedback about the AI chatbot, we are actively investigating and making updates!
I currently have two bugs to report, and am unable to do so. The second is the most important, as it regards AppSheet API call returning 200 despite being unable to perform the request.
Can I provide you the exact situation I have been through?
I used to help a lot with the community, in the past. Apart from situations that required most of my time on other topics, I have been noticing that the Community has become a bunch of “that doesn’t work” instead of " how to" posts, and that slowly got me away from helping and contributing.
I think that "AppSheet support for Workspace Admin creators will transition to Google Workspace support to provide a more tailored experience.” is a double-mistake, because this kind of “don’t work” message will happen more and more - people can’t silently report situations that require fix.
The whole message it’s sending for new people having a question now, is “wow, the Community shows that AppSheet is a non-reliable platform”, which I think is not, and I know the dev team keeps on fixing things from time to time.
Anyway : I understand the strategy to reduce cost, however my opinion is that AppSheet is too technical for this kind of operation.
No improvement, and yet another bug found.
Unable to report it.
here is the answer from the AI support bot:
"To report a bug or technical issue with AppSheet, you can submit the details directly through the Customer Care Portal.
Please follow these steps while signed in to your Google Workspace administrator account:
1.Open the Customer Care Portal.
2.In the search box, describe the specific AppSheet bug or technical issue you are experiencing, then click Get help.
3.Review the suggested help content. If the suggestions do not resolve your issue, proceed to submit your technical inquiry.
4.Fill out the form with your request details, selecting Google Workspace as the product type and the most relevant technical category for AppSheet.
To help expedite the resolution, please include the following details in your report:
The specific AppSheet feature or editor area where the issue occurs.
Step-by-step instructions to reproduce the bug.
Any error messages or codes displayed.
The date and time when the issue first started.
Additionally, you can visit the Google Workspace Developer Support page or search community forums like Stack Overflow for advice and troubleshooting tips from other developers."
Problem:
step 1 : hard to find it. Suggestion: give direct link to it
step2: there is no search box, and I have to say my patience has reached its limit.
Please make it simple, that’s just impossible to contribute effectively.
