I am encountering a persistent “HTTP ERROR 404” when trying to log back into my AppSheet account using a Microsoft domain account.
The process works perfectly the first time I log in. However, if I log out and then attempt to log in again, I am redirected to a “page can’t be found” error screen. This issue does not occur when I use my Google account; I can log in and out without any problems.
I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps without success:
Clearing my browser’s cache and cookies.
Using an incognito/private browsing window.
Ensuring the AppSheet app is up to date.
It seems to be an issue specifically with the Microsoft authentication redirect. I have attached a screenshot of the error page, which shows the long URL that is failing.
Could anyone shed some light on what might be causing this and how to resolve it?
I have had two users with this problem this week. One user I sorted when remotely logging into their phone, and me pressing the screen repeatedly in anger.
I have just tried this on another user, but I could not get it to work.
Hi all,
Thank you for reporting this issue, we are looking into it and I’ll post here when we have progress.
Until this is resolved, here is a quick workaround that should get you able to log in:
When you get to the error page in Chrome, mark the url and you should see an Open button with AppSheet’s logo like in the screenshot below. Tapping this button should open AppSheet and finish the log in process.
The issue should be resolved now, please let me know if you’re still seeing this error.
Again, thanks for reporting it and sorry for the inconvenience.
Well Thank you very much for the help
But, found out that if we use google account there is no issue logging OUT and IN
Therefore, stopped using Microsoft account now using google account and the issue has not occured
However, in order to check whether your provided solution works or not guess will have to wait for one my user who is using Microsoft account face this issue only then we can try your provided solution
Will come back here if the issue is faced and try your solution
once again Thank you all
