403 Error Selecting Data Source

Last week I linked a data source and created an app. Super simple!

Trouble shooting efforts tried: second computer, incognito/private mode, clearing browser cache, chrome firefox edge, restarted computer, waited a day…

  1. This week I am running into a 403 error during creation:
click create > app > start with existing data > enter a name and category > choose your data > google Sheets (via company email) > error:

403. That’s an error.

We’re sorry, but you do not have access to this page. That’s all we know.

  1. I tried “+ New source”. same thing (after I re-login and such)

  2. I opened the working app from last week and tried to point it to a new data source by clicking “View data” and I get this error:

    Error

    Something has gone wrong!

    The URL was: template/showtable?allowExternalRedirect=true&appId=a6216b29-2477-42b2-af82-3fc44d94bb6b&tableName=TimeOffRequests

The domain administrators have disabled Drive apps.

Please consult AppSheet’s support resources and provide the following request id: 00-c982bcb878cd7f47954501817ed61d6e-c8ec245a2b267351-00

This seems to indicate a permissioning issue.

This implies maybe you are using a Workspace account?? You, or the Workspace admin, needs to verify your settings. A good place to start is Manage AppSheet in your organization. Note that there are additional links on the right hand side to other articles.

NOTE: Presently, ONLY the owner of the app can add datasources into the app. Once a datasource is added, anyone with Edit privileges can modify that datasource adding columns and/or changing column definitions.

I hope this helps!
